There are  a lot of new movies coming to theaters this winter season, which hope to make up from the lackluster summer box office release season a few months ago. There’s a good mix of films for every type of movie goer this winter. Here are some of the most talked about upcoming movies this winter season:

Justice League: Hoping to piggyback off the summer hit “Wonder Woman,” DC is releasing Justice League on Nov. 17 to kickstart the winter movie season. Justice League occurs months after the events of Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Batman assembles a team of superheroes including Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to defend the earth from a relentless assault by Steppenwolf and his army.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The third installment of the new Star Wars movies is a sequel to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Rey continues her path throughout the galaxy with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker. This is arguably the most hyped-up film for the winter movie season. “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” hits theaters Dec. 15.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle: A spinoff of the 1995 movie “Jumanji,” “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” takes a creative new twist on the classic film. Instead of a board game pulling kids into the world of Jumanji, 4 teens stumble across an old arcade game which warps them into the dangerous world. “Jumanji: Welcome To the Jungle,” releases Dec. 20.

Ferdinand: Loosely based off the classic children’s book, Ferdinand is adapted to the big screen as one of the only animated movies releasing this winter. Ferdinand,  a kind-hearted bull mistakenly identified as a horrible beast, is captured and must escape and journey home. “Ferdinand” releases Dec. 15 and will face tough opposition in the box office with the new Star Wars film releasing the same day.

Coco: “Coco,” a Disney Pixar animated film, tells the story of an aspiring young musician named Miguel. His family has a generations-old ban on music, but that doesn’t stop Miguel from trying to achieve his dreams of being a talented musician. Trying to find a way to prove his music, he finds himself in the Land Of The Dead. “Coco” releases Nov. 22.
