With Solo & Ensemble approaching, band director Mr. David Uhrig works to help prepare band students.
“It is really important for the band because it showcases the band, the district and the school,” Mr. Uhrig said.
Mr.Uhrig also says students get to enjoy a unique set-up during Solo & Ensemble season.
“It serves as an outlet for students to play in small ensembles, which they don’t get in their normal size class bands,” Mr. Uhrig said.
Mr. Uhrig feels that Solo & Ensemble helps give students unique musical experiences.
“Absolutely, it makes students more independent and it advances their skills and makes them better players,” Mr. Uhrig said.
