The Viviano family legacy

Many families leave behind legacies, for the Viviano’s it’s in the form of flowers with astonishing craftsmanship and commitment.

Viviano Flower Shop is a family owned business that sells flowers and beautiful gift merchandise. Located in five different locations throughout Michigan, including downtown Rochester, this shop has been bringing joy to many people, on every occasion you could possibly think of.

The business first started when Frank P. Viviano, an Italian immigrant, started this business to provide for his family. He founded the store in 1937, in Detroit. Although the Detroit location closed several years ago, shops in the locations of St. Clair Shores, Grosse Pointe Woods, Shelby Township, Chesterfield Township, and Rochester are still thriving.

“The business has been passed on from generation to generation, and now my father, Paul Viviano, runs the operation with his brother Peter Viviano and with the help of many loyal and hard working team members,” Elizabeth Viviano, the daughter of Paul Viviano, said.

Viviano Flower Shop has a wide variety of vase arrangements for many different occasions, from birthdays to Chrstimas. All bundles contain pretty flowers and are handmade by a skilled designer, which makes it an extra special gift. If looking for something smaller, they also sell flowers by the bunches. Their website also shows how to care for these flowers, so that everyone can admire them for the longest time possible.

In addition to the precious flowers, the shop also sells a large range of gift merchandise, along with items made by local Michigan artists.

“We sell things you would find in a boutique gift shop like gourmet snacks, candles, soaps, lotions, mugs, home décor, holiday decorations, cards and so much more,” Viviano said.

“I believe that flowers have a special way of making people happy, so I’m proud to continue my family’s legacy and to help spread joy through flowers,” Viviano said.
