In a defensive battle, Nebraska defeated Michigan 17-13. Nebraska keeps their hopes for a Big Ten Championship alive as they improve to 7-2 (4-1 in Big Ten). The Wolverines fall to 6-3 (2-3 in Big Ten).

Michigan continues to struggle rushing the football as they finished with -21 rushing yards. Fitzgerald Toussaint and Derrick Green combined for only 17 rushing yards on 17 carries.

Nebraska finished the night on the ground with a different result, running for 128 yards total. Running back Ameer Abdullah carried the ball 27 times for 105 yards and a touchdown on the ground and through the air.

Despite this, Michigan did fairly well passing the ball. Devin Gardner completed 18 passes on 27 attempts for 196 yards and a touchdown, which was thrown to Devin Funchess.

Nebraska passed the ball well but not as well as Michigan. Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. completed 11 of his 19 attempted passes for 139 yards and a touchdown, which was a 5 yards flip to Ameer Abdullah.

Michigan kicker Brendan Gibbons made his two attempted field goals, one from 27 yards out and the other from 40 yards. Nebraska kicker made his only attempt from 21 yards out.

Nebraska still trails the Michigan State Spartans in the Big Ten as the Spartans remain undefeated in the Big Ten. Nebraska hopes to hand Michigan State their first Big Ten loss as they host the Spartans next week in Lincoln.
