Safa Khattak is a 10th grader who understands the importance of community. Although her friends would describe her as shy, once you’ve spent time getting to know her, anyone could recognize that she’s got a lot of amazing things to say. When she’s with her friends she likes to hangout and chat with them. She also has some amazing aspirations for her future. 

Safa is an accomplished writer, having won the “America and Me: Hero Essay Competition” for an essay she wrote about her dad last year. Her family is best described as fun-loving and outgoing. She doesn’t currently have any pets, but hopes to someday own a cat or bunny. When Safa isn’t at home with family, you can find her out shopping with her friends or maybe watching her favorite movie, “10 Things I Hate About You.” This year she hopes to join both Green Club and Girl Up, both great opportunities to get involved at RHS. She hopes to eventually become a dentist. 

Safa describes herself as, “outgoing but also really shy and funny.” This is her first year on the Talon and she will be a staff writer.
