Lauryn Burt joined the Talon because of her overconfidence in her writing. She’s always reading one novel and writing another, so she hopped into this class immediately, excited to write about, well, whatever she’s inspired by!

Lauryn is involved in all sorts of things around school, including AP classes, the robotics team (which she was lucky enough to participate on as an Impact presenter last year), and even the Talon! After school, she enjoys reading (Remarkably Bright Creatures is a current favorite), writing, hanging out with family and friends, and tending to her raspberry garden. She spends her time with her mom, sister, and dog, while making fun of her brother (at college) from afar.

Lauryn is a wonderful character, who laughs constantly and loves talking about anything with anyone. She’s definitely a glass half full kind of person, which becomes clear to anyone she talks to. And her defining character trait? Well, as she said, “My curly hair is my personality!”
