Grace Colucci, Staff Writer
Throughout Grace’s high school years she has made a continuous effort to create a positive environment for other students. She does this by volunteering her time and energy during the busy homecoming week to make sure the decorations look perfect for the dance! Along with being a part of Stugo, she is the Girls Swim and Dive Captain! She works to build a kind and welcoming environment for the girls on the team while also creating special bonds with all of the girls.
In Grace’s free time, along with helping others, she likes to do anything crafty including making bracelets and sewing! As her creative juices flow, she dabbles in poetry as she has started writing her first book of poems! Her goal is to start the publishing process by the time she is 18! As Grace has learned and grown throughout high school, she has also learned to be a strong leader and role model for others. She is the Co-President of Sigma’ Zai which helps raise money for research trips to help students lower travel costs! As well as a president for a club, as mentioned before, she is one of the Girl’s Swim and Dive Captains and has been since her junior year! This is one of her proudest accomplishments.
Some advice Grace has shared that really impacted her was, “Work hard, play hard.” She has taken this to heart as she has had many obstacles to overcome throughout high school. She emphasises the importance of having a balance between working hard, giving your all, and also having fun with what you are doing. Grace is a perfect example of this motto and inspires others to be the best versions of themselves!
