On Dec. 2 from 5-8 p.m. in the RHS cafeteria an event is taking place to benefit a community foster home.

“At this event we are collecting blankets and you can also make fleece tie blankets,” one of the event creators and senior Julia Randels said. “Also, there will be music and food.”

Mr. Chad Zwolinski’s sociology class had come up with an idea to help out others and make a difference.

“A representative from Mandy’s place came in and talked about their program and inspired us to help them out,” Randels said.

The organization that provides temporary shelter for children who have been abused and are in need of help.

“We are making and collecting blankets because we feel these kids need an object of comfort that they can hold onto because everything else has been taken from them,” Randels said.
