Students at Rochester High School have found a way to spice things up, so every Friday is Falcon Friday with a theme each Friday for students to dress up for. These falcon Fridays are organized through the class congresses of each grade.
“The purpose of falcon Friday is to promote patriotism in your grade and falcon Friday is just a good time,” Sophomore Charlie Ward said.
This Friday students are being festive and wearing ugly sweaters as the theme. Students take much pride when participating in these kinds of activities.
“To participate I dress nicer than usual, and especially be mean to freshman, but not to mean just a little bit, because I’m not the youngest anymore,” Ward said.
Students get hyped up for falcon Fridays because they can display their personality, but still support RHS.
“I wear fancy outfits to represent RHS and myself, and it’s cool to have a reason to dress up,” Sophomore Lex Brunson said.
Dressing up for falcon Fridays goes farther than just an outfit for school, but it is illustrating students honor to go to Rochester High School.
“I have pride in our school, and it expresses passion for going to school” Brunson said.
