As the holiday season is drawing near, there are many traditions that different people practice and enjoy doing so. Here at Rochester, I interviewed someone from each grade to tell us what their favorite traditions are.
Freshman Kate Signorello says, “I really like making gingerbread houses and decorating them.” Signorello enjoys the festivities and all of the fun things to decorate and bake during the holiday season.
Sophomore Aubrey Dettlof tells us that she “loves waking up early on Christmas morning and opening presents and then eating cinnamon rolls that my mom makes.” Dettlof loves all of the family time that is incorporated into this wonderful time of the year.
Junior Madisyn Kennedy shared that her “favorite holiday tradition is opening up a gift on Christmas Eve, of my choice.” Kennedy enjoys all of the exciting gifts she receives on Christmas and continues to carry on her family’s traditions.
Finally, senior Jordan Suhajda tells us that her “favorite holiday tradition is doing a white elephant party at my uncle’s house.” Suhajda enjoys spending time with family along with receiving gifts as an added bonus!
We have so many wonderful traditions that are similar and many that vary from each other. It is so interesting to hear about how our fellow Falcons celebrate their holiday season!
