The week of September 30-October 3 was a busy week for German Club members. On Wednesday, Oct. 1, the club held their second club meeting and the annual Oktoberfest.
“We just had a good time,” German Club advisor Frau Nancy Hanson said. “We ate German food, listened to Oktoberfest music and enjoyed ourselves.”
Over 20 people joined the club in celebrating Oktoberfest.
“We had a few people from Germany come,” Frau Hanson said. “We also had people from other school districts come as well.”
On Friday, Oct. 3, the German Club went to Seaholm High School in the evening to see the up-and-coming high school German rock bank, Artig. The band won the German version of School Jam that now has them doing tours all over America.
“It was fun, but I wish more people came,” Frau Hanson said. “They are a pretty good band and it was free.”
The German Club meets every Wednesday after school in Frau Hanson’s classroom, B109.
“More people should join to see the things we do,” Frau Hanson said. “German club is a club people should join.”
