The New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off at the U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Eagles won the game, beating the Patriots 41-33. The outcome of 52nd annual Super Bowl, which occurred on Sunday, Feb. 5, shocked many people.

“I was really surprised by the result because the Eagles, who were considered as the ‘underdogs’ won,” said sophomore Claire Benson. “I was rooting for the Patriots because of their win from last year.”

The halftime show is a performance that many students enjoy watching.

“My favorite part of the Super Bowl was the halftime show,” said Benson.  “It is a family tradition to watch that part all together.”

This year’s halftime show performance was by Justin Timberlake, who performed some of his greatest hits as well as Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U”.

“I love performances like the halftime show,” said senior Eileen Brennan. “I especially enjoyed Justin Timberlake’s performance and his tribute to Prince.”

The Super Bowl is also a time where people get together and hang out with friends and family.

“My favorite part about the Super Bowl are the parties,” said Brennan. “I love getting together with family and friends to watch football, and I’ve really enjoyed it.”
