The Rochester High basketball season is almost here and the players can’t wait for tryouts at the end of November. Many of the players really want to step it up after not winning a game last year.

“I feel like we should have a much better season this year,” sophomore Hunter Schattler said. “We have a lot more experience and players who want to work hard.”

Schattler really likes Coach Pleasant and believes he deserves a State Championship.

“I think he’s a great coach; he is always pushing us to be the best we can be and I can come to him for anything,” Schattler said. “He also teaches us how to succeed in life as well.”

Schattler desperately wants to have a good season this year, but he also looks forward to long-term success.

“In years to come, we will be an amazing team because we will be experienced and there’s a ton of skilled sophomores and incoming Freshman,” Schattler says. “We will be the best in the league when I’m a senior.”
