Sophomores Aleksandra Malaj and Jenna Norgrove debrief with their team at a tournament.

As the JV volleyball season comes to a close for most players, sophomores Jenna Norgrove and Aleksandra Malaj will move from JV to varsity as they prepare for Districts.

“It’s a way to learn new things on the varsity team,” Malaj said. “We’ve been doing more passing drills and trying to get a specific number of hits on one target. It’s more intense than JV.”

Norgrove shares about her thoughts on the transition.

“I’ve learned a lot from [the team],” Norgrove said. “They’re really nice, they teach me and they always include me.”

With districts coming up on Monday, Norgrove and Malaj share about their expectations.

“I’m excited to see how [Districts] will play out, and I’m confident in the team,” Norgrove said.

Malaj agrees.

“I’m both excited and nervous for Districts and to see what’s to come,” Malaj said.
