from sprinklesomefun.com

During this holiday season, many stay warm by snuggling up and drinking hot cocoa. Hot cocoa is a classic that all ages can savor and is a great gift that you can make yourself in only a few minutes. To make a Hot Chocolate Mix Ornament you will need the following items: 1 single serving package of instant hot chocolate mix in the flavor of your choice, 1 clear plastic fillable ornament, sprinkles, chocolate chips (white chocolate, milk chocolate, peppermint chips, etc.), mini marshmallows, a tag or note on how to make the hot chocolate (mix with 8 oz. hot water), mugs (optional), and candy canes and/or chocolate spoons, (that are also optional). To begin making the ornament, pour the hot cocoa mix into the ornament and then layer with the toppings of your choice, such as mini marshmallows, green and red sprinkles, and white chocolate chips. Then attach a mini tag or note with the directions on how to make the hot cocoa. This gift is super simple to make that only takes a few minutes of your time.

DIY Initial Mug

from gluedtomycraftsblog.com

The snow on the ground makes for a beautiful winter wonderland; however, the cold can become unbearable at times and many try to escape by drinking a warm beverage. No matter what drink you prefer, whether it be coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, a cute mug is needed. A quick gift to throw together yourself for a mom, sister, grandma, or best friend that requires no artistic ability is an initial mug. This mug is a super easy gift to make and only takes the following items: 1 plain mug, oil based sharpie paint pens, scrapbook sticker letters, and an oven. To create this adorable mug , start by placing a scrapbook sticker letter directly on the center of the mug. Next, start adding dots around the letter, really fill the space around the sticker and throw in more than one color if you choose. If you happen to mess up, no big deal— just whip the spot with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol. Once the design is finished to your liking and is dry, carefully peel off the sticker and add any finishing touch ups you think are necessary. To finish the gift, turn your oven on at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and let the mug bake for 30 minutes. Once done baking, let the mug cool in the oven and you are finished. This mug is the perfect gift that doesn’t drain your pocket and is super cute.

Although the holiday season brings joy to every household, it also provokes great stress and tension for most. In just a few simple steps, you can give the gift of relaxation to any one who seems like the chaotic holiday season has gotten the best of them. In order to make the Peppermint Bath Bomb, you will need the following items: 1 cup of baking soda, 1 cup of citric acid, ½ corn starch, 1 cup of Epsom salt, 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, 3-6 drops of a fragrance of your choice, 2-4 drops of red food coloring, green, red and pearl sprinkles, and a bath bomb mold. The first step in making your Peppermint Bath Bomb is mixing corn starch, citric acid, Epsom salt, and baking soda. Stir these ingredients well. Next, add in coconut oil and stir with fork to keep the solution light and fluffy. Separate the mixture in halves by dividing them in two bowls. Add your fragrances to both bowls and food coloring to one, stir well. Then, pack the mixture from each bowl, along with some sprinkles, and pack it into both sides of the mold, then press together. Leave in the mold for about a minute then remove and place on a tray to dry and harden overnight.

DIY Peppermint Candle

from apumpkinandaprincess.com

Finding the right gift for someone that you are not too familiar with, but certainly appreciate, is always tough. Candles have always been a great go-to gift for just about anyone on your list. A handmade soy peppermint candle is a simple way to show someone you really care. Candles are surprising easily to make by hand. You essentially just melt candle wax, mix in your favorite scent and pour into any candle mold or mason jar. The supplies required for this project include: all natural soy candle wax, peppermint oil, a mason jar or candle mold, natural candle wick, and tea light cups. The first step in making a peppermint soy candle is to glue the candlewick in the center of the bottom of the mason jar. Next, melt soy candle flakes over a double boiler or in the microwave according to the package directions. Once the wax is melted, stir in the peppermint oil (about 15-20 drops). Pour the mixture into the mason jar or tea lights. TIP: Use a pencil to wrap the candlewick and hold in place while the candle wax hardens overnight. After the wax is completely hardened, trim the candle wick before lighting.
